Hormuud Telecom donates flooded-hit victims

Somalia’s largest Telecom company (Hormuud) has donated US$200,000 to assist flooed-hit victims in Baladweyne town of Hiran region.

In a statement, Hormuud sends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims who have lost their loved ones, homes, and livelihoods in Beledweyne, Bardaale, and Gedo.

“Our donation is to respond to this emergency”, said, Hormuud Telecom.

Baladweyne, one of the worst-affected areas, while UN OCHA says an estimated over 100,000 people were affected, including internally displaced people.
