MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has welcomed a UN delegation led by Atul Khare, Under-Secretary-General for the United Nations Department of Field Support (USG) in Mogadishu.
Mr. Khare and his delegation met with president Mohamed at State House in Mogadishu, discussing on wide range issues, including current situation and UN development projects in Somalia.
The two leaders also discussed on UN support to Somalia and fighting against al Qaeda linked al Shabaab.
The USG Khare has hailed developments made in Somalia while he also thanked the country’s top leadership for his hospitalities in Mogadishu.
He also reiterated the United Nations would accelerate and continue its tirelessly support to the people and government of Somalia.
