Somalia condemned a resolution Kenya reached to re-commence flight stopovers in Wajir for all flights from Mogadishu.
This decision, the Somali government warned, is expected to limit the movements of Somali people.
Nairobi’s move is politicized and affects ties with other countries, affirmed the Somali Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that this issue will reach relevant authorities in order to come up with an “appropriate” response.
It further sent an appeal for Kenya to rethink the move, saying that it was likely to limit trade and travels between Somalia and Kenya.
