Somali President invited to Saudi Arabia

MOGADISHU, Somalia— Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz has invited the presidents of Somalia and Djibouti to attend the Arab-Africa summit.

Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed from Somalia and Osma’il Omar Guelleh from Djibouti will be travelling to Saudi Arabia after an official invitation, according to Saudi Press Agency.

The Agency reported that King Salman also sent an invitation to other leaders to attend the summit which will be held in Riyadh capital.

Somali leader Mohamed and King Salman will hold discussions on aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in order to further enhance relations in all fields.

The two sides are also expected to discuss the latest developments in the region including political, economic and security-related issues.

Saudi Arabia and Somalia share good relations with the Kingdom expressing solidarity with the Somali people during the various crises they have faced over the years.
