Somali FM receives credentials of Burundian envoy to Mogadishu

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia received a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Remy Barampama.

During the reception of the new ambassador held talks with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdulkadir Ahmed-Kheir at the ministry headquarters in Mogadishu.

He praised the historical relations between the two peoples and the two countries, stressing the strengthening of cooperation in various fields.

“The new ambassadors will play an active role in promoting ties between our countries,” Ahmed said.

The Ambassador Remy Barampama affirmed his country’s support for Somalia as a troop contributor to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and to promote and develop bilateral relations between the two countries.
