MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least two people have been injured in separate bomb explosions in Somali capital Mogadishu.
The first explosion injured one person after bomb explosive fitted into a vehicle exploded near Dabka junction in Mogadishu, a witness said.
The 2nd was a roadside bomb explosion, according to a witness, who asked to be anonymous.
He says a civilian passer-by was injured in the explosion near Dallo neighborhood in 30th venue in Mogadishu.
Somali police arrived at the bomb attack scene and sealed off the area, launching an operation.
It is unclear how many were arrested over the attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Saturday’s explosions.
The attack comes days after two people were killed and 14 others were also injured in suicide bomb attack at restaurant near police academy in Mogadishu.
Somali armed group Al Shabaab says it had targeted senior police officials, saying heavy loses had inflicted upon police.
The al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab was driven out of Mogadishu in 2011 after military operation.
The group also lost key towns to Somali army and African Union peacekeeping troops in war-ravaged nation.
