MOGADISHU, Somalia –At least 3 people of same family have been killed by unknown armed gunmen near Jariban town in central Somalia.
The victims — herdsmen were shot and killed when gunmen broke into their house in Xafodle area near the town, a witness said.
He says the killers fled from the crime scene.
Mohamed Abdukadir Ahmed, Towfiq district commissioner was also injured in gunfire while he was on his way to visit to family, who lost their loved ones.
Ahmed was rushed into hospital in Galkacyo town.
It is unclear the motive behind the killing.
