MOGADISHU, Somalia – A high level delegation led by Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire has arrived in the coastal town of Kismayo, some 500km south of Somali capital Mogadishu.

Mr. Khaire and his delegates were warmly welcomed by the President of Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) and other regional officials at the airport in Kismayo town.

Somali PM Khaire has thanked Jubaland leaders for their hospitality after his arrival on Monday.

Mr. Khaire is set to have talks with Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe to restore ties with Jubaland State and central government based in Mogadishu.

Last year, Jubaland and other state members announced to have cut all relationships with the central government over interference allegations.
