MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least 9 people been shot and killed and 7 others wounded by suspected Al Shabaab gunmen near Somali capital Mogadishu.
The terrible shooting occurred at Hawo Abdi area, just 12km away from Mogadishu, after men armed with AK-47s attacked on street cleaners and started randomly shooting, a witness said.
He says six women were among those who were killed in the attack.
It is unclear why the street cleaners have been targeted.
Somali regional officials accused Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab of carrying out the attack.
There was no immediate comment from Al Shabaab over the attack.
