Major streets in Mogadishu blocked over Custodial Corps’ Anniversary

The main streets in Somali capital, Mogadishu have been locked down on Saturday for the commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the establishment of Somali custodial corps.

A well-organized ceremony which took place in an army base was attended by Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire, the chief of custodial corps, Bashiir Mohamed Jama’a and other officials from security agencies.

During the event, the Prime Minister inspected a guard of honour mounted by the forces.

After the guard of honour, Mr. Kheire visited newly constructed premises for the custodial corps.

The prime minister commended the forces for their achievements after his tour to the construction.
