MOGADISHU, Somalia – A Somali police officer has been killed on Tuesday when a bomb explosive fitted into car exploded in Somali capital Mogadishu.
The victim whose name has been released as Abdi Dheire died after bomb explosive attached into his car exploded at Saypiano area in the capital.
Somali police arrived at the scene and launched an operation over the explosion.
No arrests have been made.
The attack was immediately claimed by Al Shabaab.
The group has been fighting to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
