Somali MP condemns after 7 dead in Mogadishu bombing

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somali MP Abdirizak Mohamed has strongly condemned deadly suicide bomb attack in Mogadishu, leaving 7 people dead.

Hon. Mohamed says he sent his deepest condolences to the families of victims car bomb attack on shopping mall in the capital of Mogadishu.

“My condolences to the victims of barbaric Alshabab Attack against innocent civilians in Mogadishu”, he said.

Mohamed prayed the injured for a quick recovery, saying “May Allah give us the courage to unite us all in the fight against this evil force”.

Monday’s explosion targeted Mogadishu shopping mall, leaving 7 people dead, a witness, Faisa Mohamed said.

Mohamed says the explosion also destroyed nearby shops.

The attack was claimed by Al Qaeda linked al Shabbaab.

The group says it had killed several senior government officials in the capital, after bomb explosion.

The group has been fighting to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
