Syrian nationals injured in bomb explosion in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least two people have been killed and three others injured in car bomb explosion in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The explosion went off after a bomb explosive fitted into a vehicle which Syrian nationals were traveling in exploded at Sodonka venue in Mogadishu, a witness said.

He says 3 doctors, including two Syrian nationals were injured in the bomb explosion.

The doctors believed that the device was planted in their car while they were playing soccer near their workplace in Mogadishu.

No group says it carried out the attack.

But, such attacks are often claimed by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab.

The group has been fighting for more than ten years in Somalia.
