MOGADISHU, Somalia –The President of Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has on Monday reiterated his commitment to transforming the lives of those with disabilities by offering them equal opportunities in education and employment.
“As we mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, we reiterate that one of our core values is the protection, support and giving platforms to those who live with disabilities.
Mohamed says his administration is committed to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Somali President Mohamed called on the Upper House to fast track the approval of the bill that allows us to establish the National Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and ease delivery of services to the members of our society that live with disabilities.”
