Somali security forces detained a suspected Islamic State militant group in Somalia, following a security operation in Mogadishu.
The news was announced on Wednesday by the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
The terrorist, the NISA confirmed, was charged of wiring cash to other militants all around the globe, given that the arrested IS operative was responsible for finance.
The NISA announced that “security forces arrested IS militant operative in an operation in the capital of Tuesday evening.”
It further added “he used to transfer money to the other extremists in other countries and his arrest would damage the group’s economic route.”
