Sudan’s President invited to arrive in Somalia

MOGADISHU— Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has been invited to pay a state-visit to Somali capital Mogadishu.

Sudan’s FM secretary, Yasser Khadar held talks with acting Somali envoy to Sudan, Omar Osman Mohamed in Khartoum.

Khadar received an invitation letter to Sudanese president from his Somalia’s counterpart Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo.

The letter asked Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to visit Somali capital Mogadishu.

The acting envoy Mohamed thanks Sudan for providing assistance to Somalia such as education, security, economic and anti-terrorism.

The talks between Somali and Sudan officials confirmed and reported by Sudan News Agency (SUNA).

It is unclear if Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir accepted the invitation from Somalia.
