MOGADISHU- At least three people, including a local government soldier have been sustained injuries in bomb explosion in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The blast left 3 people injured on Sunday at Sinai market in the capital, after bomb explosives fitted under handcart exploded, a witness said.

The victims were at the market at the time the bomb blast, he said.

He says the victims had been taken into hospital for medical treatment.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the Friday’s explosion, but such attacks are often carried out by Al Shabaab.

The group has been waging insurgency more than 10 years in Somalia.

However, Al-Shabaab, which once controlled Mogadishu capital in 2011, wants to tople the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
