Somali President revokes ranks of fired Intel cheif

MOGADISHU – Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, known as ‘Farmajo’ has dismissed former Deputy Director, Gen. Abdalla Abdalla Mohamed from the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).

President Farmajo struck off Abdalla Abdalla Mohamed’s ranks as a National Intelligence and Security Agency general, according to statement.

Mr. Farmajo says he took the decision after recommendation from country’s Intelligence chief.

Mohamed, who has been in the office for last six years was accused of violating of the spy agency’s internal regulations.

Mohamed has reportedly filed a court complaint containing serious accusations against the Director and Deputy Director of Somali intelligence agency (NISA).

The court case was filed before he was
sacked and stripped of his ranks by Mohamed Farmajo, the president of Somalia.
