Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia sign new agreement

ASMARA – Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo his Eritrean counterpart, Afeworki and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met in Asmara, Eritrea’s capital, to seal a tripartite agreement in the direction of fostering partnership.

PM Abiy and President arrived in Eritrea on their way back from China after attending China-Africa Cooperation Forum.

The leaders from the three counties signed an agreement o enhance economic, political, social, security and cultural cooperations.

At the core of the trilateral initiative is to attain mutual development, according to Eritrea’s Minister of Information.

However, Somali president President Farmajo tweeted that development can be achieved through cooperation, after the agreement.
