Somalia: 100 people helped with wheelchairs in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia -Somalia’s local government has distributed wheelchairs to some of the physically disabled people in the region.

Up to 100 disabaled people from IDP camps in the capital Mogadishu recieved wheelchairs to use, according to mayor of Mogadishu.

Mayor Abdurahman Omar Osman says the distribution remains part of the plans through which local government is aiming to please the hearts of the less-privileged people among the society.

Osman says “Our people deserve to be granted a continuous care, and apart from God, they expect everything from us as well”.

He called upon all the society members, specifically, members of the business community in Mogadishu to play key role to help disabled people living in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The local government has however, started undertake some programs through which it is said to be intending to accommodate the poor people during days of Eid festival in Somali capital Mogadishu.
