Top UN official in Somalia has strongly condemned deadly suicide and gun attack in Somali capital Mogadishu.

The attack took place on Saturday near country’s Presidential Palace, leaving 10 people, including 3 attackers dead, according to police officer, Mohamed Hussein.

UN ambassador to Somalia, Mechiel Keating says he was appalled by the suicide attack claimed by Al Shabaab in the downtown of Mogadishu.

“Al Shabaab using violence to achieve objectives comes at great human and other cost to Somalia’s progress”, Keating said.

He wished swift recovery to those who injured in the latest bomb attack in Somali capital.

UN says the attacks in Mogadishu will never deter its continued support to the Federal government of Somalia.
