Kenyan army base hit by rockets in Somalia

MOGADISHU – Ten mortar rounds fired by Al Shabaab rained down on Kenyan military base near its border along with Somalia.

The rockets landed into military base manned by Kenyan forces serving under African Union mission Somalia.

Mohamed Gutalle, a witness said that heavily armed Shebaab fighters launched mortar attack on KDF camp in Fah Fahdhun town.

It remains unknown the exact figure of casualty.

But, the armed group of Al Shabaab claimed to be carried out the shelling.

Kenyan military in Somalia did not comment on the mortar attack.

Earleir this week, at least 5 people including children were killed and 5 others injured in mortar attack on residentail area in Mogadishu.
