MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least seven civilian people have been sustained injuries on Tuesday when mortar rounds ruined down on Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.

The rockets hit Ali Kamin and other neighborhoods in the capital, leaving at least seven people wounded, a witness, Mohamed Hussein, said.

Hussein says the mortars had been intended for African Union (AMISOM) forces’ military base in (ex-Soccer) stadium, but was missed and hit residential areas in Mogadishu.

He said six people of same family members were among those injured in Tuesday’s shelling.

The victims were immediately taken into local hospitals.

It is unclear where the rockets were fired from and who carried it out.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombing in Somali capital Mogadishu.

Mogadishu has been witnessed orchestrated assassinations and suicide bombings, which left dozens of people dead, as some those attacks were claimed by Al Shabaab group based in Somalia.
