Somalia’s defense minister, Mohamed Mursal has declared that its troops trained by UAE will be “broken up” and merged into different divisions into army.

Mursal says his country will shoulder salary payments, in a bid to end military cooperation agreement between Somalia and UAE.

“We want to take rights and responsibility of our soldiers,” he told journalists in Mogadishu.

He says the government of Somalia had made a plan to settle down army salary payments, including other military forces, which were trained by UAE in General Golden camp.

The move ends the diplomatic relations between Somalia and UAE.
