Somalia: UN deploys new soldiers to Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – A total of 625 officers and enlisted troops are tasked with protecting UN staff have landed in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. 

A new deployment comes days after al Shabaab said Wednesday’s attack on Mogadishu mayor’s office was intended to target UN’s special envoy James Swan.
