Four killed in ongoing Al Shabaab attack on hotel in Kenya

MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least four people have been killed and 14 others injured in suicide and gun attack on hotel in Kenya’s capital Nairobi.

The attack started on Tuesday with two car bomb explosions targeted Dursit hotel in the capital, police Tom Akunda said.

He says at least 4 people killed and 14 others injured in an ongoing attack on the hotel in Nairobi.

Heavy bursts of gun shots and explosions could be heard around the hotel.

Tuesday’s attack claimed by al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab.

The group’s spokesman told Al Jazeera that its fighters had carried out an attack in Nairobi.

Death toll could likely rise, according to Kenyan police.

Kenyan police and security forces were deployed to the scene of the attack.
