KSRelief Distributes Food Aid in Somalia

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed on Friday 1,500 emergency food baskets to flood-affected people in the town of beledweyne in Somalia’s Hiran province, benefiting 9,000 people.

The center also distributed more than 1,116 food baskets weighing 83 tons to displaced people from Saada governorate in Marib governorate benefiting 6,696 people, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The distributions come within the framework of the humanitarian projects provided, by the Kingdom in many affected countries.

Also, a delegation from KSRelief represented Saudi Arabia in Paris Thursday at a high-level meeting of Development Assistance Committee (DAC).

The Center’s delegation was headed by Assistant Director-General for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel bin Jumaan Al-Ghamdi.

The participants discussed the challenges of refugees and migration facing participating States, SPA reported.
