Somali Islamists claim bomb attack killed six soldiers in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somali armed group, Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for roadside bomb explosion in the capital of Mogadishu.

In a statement by Radio Andulus, an Al Shabaab mouthpiece said, the group had killed six soldiers in the explosion.

There was no immediate comment from Somali police over the claims.

But, a witness said the explosion killed two civilians and injured three others including two Syrian nationals.

The victims were wounded after bomb fitted into vehicle they were travelling in exploded in the capital of Mogadishu.

The Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab has been fighting more than ten years to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
