Somalia: Two ISIS shooters arrested in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Two Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) assassins have been arrested following joint operation in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.

National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) says the Somali security forces had successfully captured two men, who accused of being members of ISIL group.

The Agency says one of two suspects had carried out several assassinations in the capital Mogadishu.

“We arrested two ISIL suspects in Mogadishu operations. One of the two men has shot and killed a police traffic officer in broad-day-light in Somali capital and other killings”, NISA said.

ISIL group carried out at least 4 assassinations targeting police and security officers in Somali capital Mogadishu.

There was no comment from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) over the claims made by Somali National Intelligence Agency.
