Three people injured in blast near Mogadishu

MOGADISHU– Roadside bomb explosion targeting government soldiers has injured three people near Mogadishu.

The happened in Afgoye town, some 30km south of Somali capital, a witness told AGGM on phone.

He says the blast hit amored military vehicle in the town, leaving 3 civilians injured.

“It was an IED which planted on the roadside. 3 civilians injured”, he said.

None of the government soldiers was killed or injured in the blast, according to residents.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Monday’s explosion.

The military officials in the town was unavailble to reach on phone for comments on the bomb attack.

Somali based group of Al Shabaab often carry out assassinations and bombings in and out of the Mogadishu.
