Intelligence officer dies of injuries in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU — National intelligence and security agency (NISA) officer has died of injuries sustained from drive by shooting in Mogadishu.

The deceased, whose name has been identified as Mohamud Hassan Moalim (Qooley) was sprayed bullets by gunmen in the capital.

He was driving to Hosh area at the time of the shooting, according to security sources.

“We took him into hospital, but being died of injuries”, relatives said.

They added: Now, we are preparing his burial”.

The killers escaped from the scene.

Tens of security soldiers arrived at the area and starting manhunting.

No one has been arrested over Sunday’s incident.

There was immediate claim of responsibility for the shooting in the capital.

But, such assassinations and bombings are often carried out by Somali based group of Al Shabaab.
