MOGADISHU, Somalia – The United Arab Emirates will be airlifting the dead body of Somali constitution minister Abdirahman Hosh Jibril to the capital of Mogadishu.
Jabril has died on Friday at Dubai Hospital.
Somalia is preparing a state funeral for Jabril after returning his body to Mogadishu.
Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and his premier Hassan Ali Khaire and other government officials expressed their heartfelt condolences over Jabril’s sudden death of the long-serving minister.
However, UN and U.S. missions in Somalia also condoled to family, friends and Somali nation on the untimely death of minister,
UN says on Twitter post that he will be remembered as a principled and towering figure. “May Allah have mercy on Abdi Hosh”.
