The Turkish government says it is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and extensive damage caused by the heavy flooding in the city of Beledweyne in Somalia.
The floods caused by heavy rains on the Shabelle river also submerged the neighborhoods of the town, some 330km north of the capital, Mogadishu.
In a statement by Turkish foreign ministry said Ankara shared the grief of the friendly and brotherly Somali people.
Turkey also wished Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and extend our condolences to their families.
