UN said on Monday, “Flooding in parts of Somalia has contacted more than 547,000 people, of whom 370,000 have been moved from their homes, destroying livelihoods and infrastructure in the Horn of Africa nation”.

The UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said at least 17 people have been killed since the flooding started on Oct. 21, citing figures from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)-led protection and return monitoring network.

OCHA said in its latest report.”Farmland, infrastructure and roads have been destroyed, and livelihoods disrupted in some of the worst-hit areas,”
