Four killed in bus attack in Somalia

MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least four people have been killed when gunmen opened fire on civilian bus in Bal’ad town, some 30km north of the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

The deadly shooting comes after a minivan driver attempted to pass speedily at a roadblock placed by unknown gunmen in the town, a witness said.

He says the militias set up a roadblock to extort civilian passengers on board.

He added two others were injured in the attack.

The victims were taken into hospital.

There was no immediate comment from the local authorities over the shooting.
