NAIROBI, Somalia – Kenya police forces entered and conducted a search in some of the offices of money transfer companies in Eastleigh neighborhood of Nairobi.
Police closed five Somali remittances, including TAAJ, AMAL after an operation in Nairobi.
The motive behind the closure remains unclear.
The move comes hours after Somalia Minister and lawmakers were denied visas despite holding diplomatic passports at Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi.
