Japan to improve developments in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Mayor of Mogadishu, Abdirahman Osman has held talks with Kumiko Uchida, Sinior Director of Africa of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tokyo.

Mr. Osman says he and Uchida had discussed on the development of Somali capital, Mogadishu.

“I had a very productive meeting with Kumiko Uchida, Sinior Director of Africa of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tokyo”, he said.

Osman says he updated the progress of Somalia amongst other things of mutual interest.

Japan is among a few international actors, who supports in Somalia’s success.

Tokyo has brought quality education and protection services to some 8,500 school-aged children, more than 40 per cent of them girls affected by emergencies in Somalia.
