Somali President meets with Iraqi President in Egypt

MOGADISHU, Somalia –Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has met with several leaders from Iraq, Sweden, Italy and Denmark after EU-Arab League summit in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh.

President Farmajo and the leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties through cooperation on issues of mutual benefit, according to a statement released by the office of Somali president.

Somali President says he held fruitful talks with the Prime Minister of Denmark and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties through cooperation on issues of mutual benefit.

“Denmark is an important partner in Somalia’s development”, he said.

Arab and European states sought common ground on security threats and regional crises including Yemen, Syria and Libya on Sunday at their first joint summit held in Egypt.
