MOGADISHU —Unknown fighter jets carried out airstrike near the coastal town of Kismayo, some 500km south of Somali capital Mogadishu.
The strike killed at least three people, according to local residents.

It is unclear, who carried out the airstrike in south of Somalia, but US military often carries out drone strike against Al-Shabaab in south and central Somalia.
The U.S. military has carried out at least 27 airstrikes, including drone strikes, this year against the al Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab that killed 160 Islamist fighters in Somalia.
