Highe level delegation led Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has arrived on Saturday in Somali capital , amid heavy securty presence in Mogadishu.
PM Abiy Ahmed and his delegation were warmly welcomed by country’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and other senior government officials at Mogadishu’s airport.
Mr. Abiy was escorted to Presidential Palace in the capital as Somali president and PM Abiy discussed wide range of issues.
Abiy’s historic visit to Somalia comes a day after he received the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan In Addis.
The visiting Ethiopian premier is said to be trying to mediate between the UAE and Somalia. A source within Villa Somalia says there will be a bilateral and regional issues discussed in details.
