Heavy clan fighting broke out between two armed militias in Mahas town in central Somalia’s Hiran region.
The fighting flared up when armed militias attacked on another group in the town, leaving 7 people dead and many others injured.
The district commissioner of Mahas town, Mohamed Abdi Awale said that the clash had subsided after local elders had intervened both sides.
