Somalia’s Lower House speaker, Mohamed Sheikh Osman (Jawari) has held press conference in Mogadishu, which he addressed latest political row in Somalia.

Mr. Osman says Somali lawmakers plotting the no-confidence motion against him are planning to convene their session on Wednesday morning to try to unseat him.

He added that country’s president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo had given the legislators the “go-ahead”, accusing him of being “partial” in the dispute.

“The president Farmaajo will take responsibility for “consequences”, he said.

The Speaker of Somali Parliament says efforts to solve ongoing political crisis had failed, adding that he rejected calls by country’s president to resign.

There was no immediate response from Villa Somalia over the accusations.
