Unknonw gunmen have shot and killed a government soldier in Somali capital in the latest in a series of elaborate assassinations in Mogadishu.
The victim was hit several times on chest and head by hooded men armed with pistols on Thursday at former US embassy in Mogadishu.
The killers reportedly fled from the crime scene, according to a witness, who asked to be anonymous.
Somali security forces launched an operation, shortly after the murder of the soldier, whose name has not been released yet.
No arrests have been made over the killing.
Somali-based group of Al Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the killing of soldier in Mogadishu.
