Somali president to visit UAE

Somali ptesident, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is to make his second visit to the United Arab Emirates  (UAE) next week after receiving official invitation, farmajo entourage source confirmed.

Sources privy to the UAE invitation said the president would be travelling to United Arab Emirates on Monday next week.

“President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo will be travelling to UAE on November 20th, the president received official invitation from Dubai authorities,” said a source close to Villa Somalia.

According to the sources,  Egyptian president Abdel Fatah El-Sisi has been carrying out attempts bring Somalia and UAE leaders closer after Somalia decided to stand its ground on neutrality in the Gulf Crisis.

“Following Somali president’s visit to Egypt in late August, president Abdel Fatah was trying to bring Somali and United Arab Emirates leaders closer on the matter related to Gulf  Crisis” he said.

Some of regional state leaders will also be travelling to Dubai next week, according to the sources.

“Leaders of Southwest and puntland states, Shariif Hassan and Abdiweli Ali Gas repectively will be heading to UAE,” the sources confirmed.
